In this social studies we have been researching about places around Christchurch.I created a Prezi to tell us about places around Christchurch and where the name Christchurch from.What I've found interesting about places around Christchurch isn't anything to be honest not really interested in anything i've researched (honest opinion).I think I should've added more info about me like where i'm from and my Age but next time because of a sort period time.

This is america:Childish Gambian is the composer of the song.The song is about violence in america and the racism in america.I think the song is alright I wouldn't say the best but it gives us a good understanding about america.

I have a dream:I have a dream is a speech wrote by martin Luther king jr.The speech is about racism also he has a dream that one day the racism will end and the white and the black will combine like a family.

Changes Tupac shakur:the composer of the song is amaru shakur aka tupac.the song is about racism.I like this song because its one of my favourite all time rappers.

 What did you perform?We performed lean on me with piano and me and zion were singing.

How did the performance go?the performance didnt go well because because our group kept laughing and wasn't concentrating.

What was challenging?Getting the music on beat so it could sound well.

What did i enjoy about it?learning new instruments.

Techniques:cold light-lots of greenery,Sunlight and clouds.

Effect on the viewer-Cold,not a place you want to be.old fashion,back to time.lots of poverty-Outdated materials,live closer to the land.

Co-lour palette-All the colors used in that shot e.g district,natural,greens,blacks.browns,grey.

Warm light-it is orange yellow or red

Cold-Blue,Green,white.It makes it feel clean,sterile.modern

Bright light-obvious,feel happy,energetic

Artificial-Nightclubs,Screens,Man-made sources of light,electricity

Directors purpose-who has more privilege power and opportunity.(rich vs poor)no artificial sources of light.

Other techniques-Costumes grey/black-coal miners,black shoes less dirt.

what's happening:the capitol citizen are waiting for the tributes to arrive.

Techniques-Lighting,Cold,bright,Artificial light-Electricity.Colorful,vibrant,vivid costumes and white and grey.

Effect on the viewer:Makes it feel modern,Set the mood-Happy for the tributes to arrive.

Directors purpose-rich vs poor-Power,privilege and opportunity.better sewing technology because the costumes are better,not poverty in capitol.they don't have to work.privilege of being able to go and to watch the tributes arrive.

In the scene at the train station,lighting and color are used substantially to show the theme rich vs poor.In this case,rich means the privileges given to those on the capitol.This is demonstrated the use of bright,cold artificial lighting and a modern color palette of whites and grey for the buildings and vibrant pinks and blues for the clothing.This makes the audience feel like the location is modern and citizens are excited  for the tributes to arrive.the purpose of this was to show that the capitol has privilege of technology-they have electricity,trains and access to better clothing,This worked well with the use of costumes.the costumes of the capitol are unique,exquisite and exotic which shows they have more variety and sewing technology than those of people in the districts.this can be juxtaposed to the conditions in district 12 where there is no electricity and the colors and lighting are more natural.

reflect on discussion

 In discussion group we talked about costume and how it defines the theme rich v poor.What I learn't is the camera shots about Effie reveals that she has power and privileges over the d-12 people.

P.E

What we did in P.E?In P.e we played netball and the team participated and everyone had a turn with the ball.I think our team was successful because we all passed and communicated as a team.
