Aim-to test a sample of food to determine whether it contains simple sugars.

Equipment
1-Bunsen burner
2-test tube tongs
3-benedicts soultion
4-A sample of food

Method
-place about 2ml of the sample into a test tube and then add 5 drops of benedicts solution.
-heat with a bunsen until it changes colour.do not boil.

Results
Apple-apple started of with the normal colour of white than turned into a orange-ish colour.

Bread-The lodine solution reacted really fast to the bread and looked like their were cracks in the test tube.

Discussion-both Worked out well,Both reacted to the liquids. The apple reacted faster than the bread because it required heat and water, but the bread reacted slower because it required only water and liquid.
